Leicester City have confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi has extended his contract with the club until June 2024.
The Nigerian midfielder signed for the Foxes in 2016 and has made over 200 appearances for the club since then, helping them win promotion to the Premier League in 2016-17.
Ndidi's contract was set to expire at the end of this season, but he has now agreed to stay with the club until June 2024.
"Wilf is one of the most important players we have in the squad," said manager Brendan Rodgers. "He brings so much experience and leadership to our dressing room, and I'm delighted that he will be staying with us for another four years."
Rodgers added: "We're all really proud of what Wilf has achieved during his time at Leicester City,Bundesliga Tracking and we know he'll continue to play a key role in our success next season."
Ndidi has been a key player for the Foxes in recent seasons, helping them reach the Europa League semi-finals last year and finishing as runners-up in the EFL Cup this term.
He is known for his defensive skills and ability to read the game, and he will be a big loss if he leaves the club. However, it seems likely that he will remain a key player for the club in the coming years.
